CARF Accreditation
Hermitage Hall is committed to providing young people with high-quality care and effective treatment. We are accredited by the Commission Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an internationally-recognized nonprofit health and human services accreditor that surveys hundreds of hospitals and residential treatment facilities to ensure they’re consistently meeting high standards of care for their patient population. Our CARF accreditation is a testament to our dedication to providing and maintaining high-quality programming for our patients year over year.

Cognia Accreditation
Hermitage Hall has earned Cognia Accreditation for the first time in the facility’s history. Not only did the HH Team earn this distinction, they surpassed the national Index of Education Quality (IEQ) scores. The IEQ results are reported on a scale of 100 to 400 and provide information about how the institution is performing compared to expected criteria. An IEQ score below 250 indicates that the institution has several areas within the Initiate level and should focus its improvement efforts on those Standards within that level. An IEQ in the range of 225–300 indicates that the institution has several Standards within the Improve level and is using results to inform continuous improvement and demonstrate sustainability. An IEQ of 275 and above indicates the institution is beginning to reach the Impact level and is engaged in practices that are sustained over time and are becoming ingrained in the culture of the institution.
Below is the average (range) of all Cognia Improvement Network Institutions evaluated for accreditation in the last five years. As you can see, Hermitage Hall exceeded the national averages:
- All Cognia Improvement Network Institutions 5 Year IEQ Range 278.34 – 283.33
